Privacy Policy
24pts Football (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a free fantasy football game run by James Wallis. This policy explains what personal data the app collects, why, and what your choices are. We keep it short because the app collects little. Questions: j@wallis.dev.
What we collect
- Your email address — used only to sign you in. The app has no passwords; you sign in with a one-time “magic link” sent to your email.
- Your name and date of birth — entered during onboarding. Your name (or a pseudonym you choose) appears on leaderboards; your date of birth is used once to confirm you are old enough to use the app (13+) and to show your age band. It is not shown to other players.
- Your gameplay — the squad you pick, any Second Wind picks, the leagues you create or join, and your display, privacy, and notification preferences.
- A push-notification token — only if you turn on notifications, so we can send you the alerts you opted into (e.g. “the table has updated”). You can turn these off at any time.
- Sign-in records — when you sign in we store the IP address and browser/device description that request came from, alongside your session. We use these to keep the account secure and to stop the sign-in form being abused, nothing else. They go when the session does.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or payment details. There are no in-app purchases and no ads.
What we do not do
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, ever.
- We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.
Name privacy
You control whether your real name is shown on each type of board (the global table, public leagues, and private leagues) in the app’s privacy settings. When hidden, other players see a stable pseudonym (e.g. “Player 4821”) instead of your name.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers purely to run the app. They process data on our behalf and only to provide their service:
- Turso — the database that stores your account and gameplay data.
- Resend — sends your magic-link sign-in emails.
- Vercel and Fly.io — host the backend that runs the game and fetches match results.
- Expo and Apple Push Notification service — deliver notifications, if you enable them.
- Apple — distributes the app via the App Store / TestFlight.
Match results and fixtures come from public football data providers and are not personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and gameplay data while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal data, keeping only what we must for legal or anti-abuse reasons.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to export it. Email j@wallis.dev and we will action it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13, and onboarding requires you to confirm you are at least 13 years old.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
